Linh Thai Khanh Truong
Linh K is currently studying as a third year law and commerce student at the University of Adelaide.
In 2019, she signed up to be a volunteer member for the first TEDxUniSA event. It was an amazing experience for her. She met new people, made friends and helped making the journals for our attendees. She also perceived a tremendous amount of knowledge about life, technology and science from our speakers. But most importantly, she laughed a lot. For her, the ability to have fun while doing something is what makes you become to be passionate about it. She wants to bring the same joy she experienced from the last event to everyone else. That is the reason why she joined the committee team this year and was luckily voted to be the Head of the Sponsorship Team for TEDxUniSA 2021.
It is a pleasure to once again work alongside some of the former members, as well as connecting with newer ones. The best thing about her role is that it opens up opportunities for her to increase her social networking. She is able make conversation with many formal and new sponsors via email, as well as seeing them face to face to talk about potential sponsorship or collaboration. It was great fun to her.
The journey was rough at the beginning due to the effect of COVID-19, but we were all able to surpass this barrier. The event is approaching soon. She hopes everyone is excited, because she knows she is! Linh K will see you all at the event!

After all is said and done, he is secretly planning a reclusive life where he can fully utilise the butterfly effect to understand society’s woes.
Linh Thai Dieu Truong
Linh started watching TED Talks online in 2018, and was so inspired by them. At the time, she was the president of Golden Key Honour Society UniSA Chapter, and they were looking for some movies/videos for Movie Night. So she suggested they use TED talks for the movie night maybe? They have a chat with their club’s advisor, and he was suggesting this can be really exciting. And somehow, from something as small as that, we create TEDxUniSA, a festival of ideas worth spreading.
Stephanie Li
Stephanie was a student of Bachelor of Business (Marketing) in University of South Australia and she graduated in 2019. By chance, she learnt about TEDxUniSA and now she is a member of Marketing team. Her role is as a web creator and designer for TEDxUniSA.
It is the first time for her to be a volunteer. In TEDxUniSA, she realized what a real marketer does and how a marketing department runs in reality, which stimulates her to discover more in the marketing field beside the university’s knowledge. She also meets lots of people here, they work together, talk together and laugh together, which somehow changed her life. This volunteer experience really inspired her to be a responsible and grateful person. This is a tremendous harvest that is way much beyond her expectation.
Apart from marketing field, Stephanie is also interested in languages due to her multilingual background. She loves to make friends with people from all over the world, and she is trying to learn more languages as possible as she can. She hopes she can travel the world one day to meet more people.
